Ok, so I know I'm a month late on the update, but hey, we've been busy.
So, from the beginning...
Everything went through with the house great! We got everything shipped, and taken care of just in the nick of time.
Unfortionately our vehicles still have not sold. They will though, one way or another. So if anyone knows of anyone looking for a truck or car, let us know.
We flew out of fairbanks saterday, January 28th @ about 10:25 pm. We made it to the airport just in time (@ -50 degrees i might add). We got there, got checked in, got thru security, got to the gate and there was no waiting, they loaded us up and closed the doors...wheeew! We made it on every flight with no problems at all. Sleeping wasn't happening for me though at all, with Ben sleeping and me having to hold both the boys most of the time, it wasn't working. But we made it sunday morning at 9:00am ( it was 50 degrees i might add, yep 100 degrees difference!!! it was so warm!!!). Amber picked us up from the airport and took us to her parents house. Everyone made plans for us really quick to stay with Lonnie & Jenifer until we found our own place. I HUGE thank you to them, and Adam for bunking up on the couch so we could have his room :)!
I had told Simone that she needed to not have her baby until we got here cause I wanted to see her brand new. It worked! She went into labor the morning we got in and had her that afternoon. So yes, I got to see her brand new, and she is just so precious! They named her Challis Ember Elison, and she is so fun!
OK, moving on...
Needless to say I had SERIOUS jett-lagg. And it took me a good 3 days of napping and sleeping a ton at night to get over it. But I did get over it :)
Being here has been great! Lots of Mommies in the Fam are homeschooling and we get together about once a month or so to do little fieldtrips and such. In February we went to Ben's Aunt and Uncles to see their sheep. They have TONS! It was the perfect day to go too. The sun was out, they got to feed some of the lambs, round them up, watched while uncle Ray docked the lambs tails, marked their ears, and castrated the little male lambs :(, and they even got to see one be born. The kids loved it!
We are loving it here. The kids play outside all the time, they have wonderful little cousins to play with, wonderful family who are willing to babysit, and we have family get togethers all the time. We go shopping, fishing, sight-seeing, and wistle-pig shooting. We have BBQ's all the time, play dodge-ball, soccer, go swimming, work in the gardens and yards, watch movies, and just hang out. It's been so great for us to be here, we have truely missed our sweet, kind, and most generous family members!
We are still living with Uncle Lonnie & Aunt Jenifer for the time being, but will be moving into my Grandpa & Grandma Pulleys old house at the end of April. We are so excited!
The Kids our doing great.
Kyzer plays outside almost 24/7 and is already turning brown. He loves it here, and sure enjoys having his cousins to play with all the time. He takes good care of his little brother, is very protective and loves to tease and play with him. He loves the Animals and loves to ride Ponchy* or Boots ( the pony ).
Korben loves to be outside too. He loves the trampoline, the animals, and balls! He has been walking since 9 months and you can't keep him out of anything. He is so smart, I always think he is older than he is, and I'm not the only one. He will be 1 year on April 7th (:( where has my baby gone?) and is doing wonderful!
Ben has been working for his Cousin Nick mostly and his Uncle Lonnie when Nick doesn't have anything going. I just stay home and take care of the kids and play and visit with Family.
We are doing great and are looking forward to the coming summer ahead of us!
