CUCUMBERS!!!

I got to looking at all my plants tonight and realized that my cucumber plants are loaded with itty bitty cucumbers. That makes me so happy! They may not be the healthiest looking plants around, but hey, WE HAVE CUCUMBERS!

Settling for what is left

I have been trying to get Kyzer off the bottle for quite a while now, but that little bugger depends on the thing. He only has it at nap time and bedtime and has for a long time. I tried only letting him have it at bedtime to go to sleep with and cut out the nap time bottle and that seemed to work for about a week. then i tried only letting him have it right before nap time and bedtime and then he would lay down and go to sleep without it and that worked for about a week. Now nothing seems to be working. He will NOT take milk in a cup, so thats that helping either. Usually, if he doesn't quite fall asleep with one bottle I will let him have another half, but only if he asks for it. So now what I am trying is he only gets the one bottle and then he just has to go to sleep on his own, OH BOY HAS THAT BEEN FUN! Anyways, he didn't fall asleep with the one bottle the other day for nap time but I was NOT going to get him out this time! This is how i found him about and hour after i put him down for his nap. Finally asleep right on top his little bear that his Aunt Aulora got him when he was born. I guess he finally decided that the bear would just have to do.

COLOR!!!

We spent 3 hours outside yesterday afternoon trying to soak up some sun and fresh air.  It was nice to be outside in the nice warm weather and the beautiful color starting to come out. We are really enjoying all the green in OUR yard! :-]
note: please ignore the immodest clothing in some of the pictures. I am trying to get a little tan before we go to Idaho next month so i don't fry in my swimsuit.
He's such a goofball.

He loves to have his picture taken.

We have lot's of nice tall trees. i love it!

Partners in crime

Cheese!

He was pretending it was a gun.

Lots and lots of green.

A little Video to go with the last post

May 1st

Ben bought me a bike and a bike trailer with part of his bonus that he got last month. We took them out for a try when we got home with them and then stopped at the little park by our house on the way back to let Ky play for a bit.
It started sprinkling a little while we were there so it made it hard for Kyzer to slide down the slide but he still enjoyed himself quite well.

He had to push himself down a lot because of the rain.

I have no idea what i was doing but it's a pretty funny picture.

My new Bike and Kyzer's trailer

After we got home. He was being goofy and bouncing all over the place.

The Most Precious Things

So our nightly routine usually goes like this...
We have dinner, Kyzer has his bath and gets ready for bed, we try to read scriptures and say prayers(but lately that seems to hardly happen), I make Kyzer his bottle and he runs to his room and tries to climb into his bed, we put him in and hand him his bottle and when he's finished it he goes to sleep.
Well, yesterday I tried to put him down for a nap around his usual nap time but for some reason he was not tired AT ALL, so after being in his bed for 2 hours 50 minutes and still being extremely hyper, I got him out. we went outside and he ran and played with the dog for 3 hours, after about two hours his tiredness started to kick in, he was so tired and dirty after playing outside that i just put him strait in the tub. After his bath he had a little bowl of oatmeal and then i made him a bottle. When he saw that i had made him a bottle he turned around and ran strait to his room and sat down on the floor right in front of his bed and folded his arms for prayer.
It just blows my mind that he already knows we have prayer before bed, especially because we have been so busy lately that we hardly remember to ever do it before he goes to bed. The little guy is only 20 months and he already knows to have prayer before bed.
These are the things that make me feel like I am doing something good in raising my child right.  He just melts my heart!
