Fort Knox Family Day 6/5/10

Fort Knox has a Family Day a couple times a year, and we finally got the chance to go to one this year. It was a lot of fun! They had several different tours of the mine, lots of little goodies for people to take, games, gold panning (which we ended up not doing, bummer), and they even hired a catering company to come cook a huge lunch for everyone and it was so good! Kyzer absolutely LOVED the Hall Truck! He wanted to go back and play on it several times. They also had the girl scouts there for a day care service because kids under the age of 9 couldn't go on the mill tour, so Ky got to play in day care for about 3 hours.  Man was that great! A little free time to just run around and look at things by ourselves for a bit, plus it was rainy the whole time and we got pretty chilled so it was nice that he didn't have to be out in it the whole time. And he loved it! Anyways, we had a great time and will definitely be going next time if Ben has it off!
Here are a few of the pictures of the day, Enjoy!

He Loved the Hall Truck!
So high up
He really didn't want to go back down
Enjoying some yummy lunch with Daddies work buddies and their Families
So many buttons and such, this isn't even the half of them in the hall truck.
Yeah, Ben made me pose at the top.
These Hall Trucks are huge! This is only the medium sized one.
Those tires cost between 80 and $90,000 a piece.
I'm rich! NOT! But yes, it is real Gold.
