We weren't sure if we were going to do a party this year for him because 1: I don't think kids need a party every year, they already get toys for christmas and other things and I think kids need to learn to use their imaginations more (especially these days), 2: we have been so busy with he house and daily life we didn't know if we could squeeze it in, 3: there has been so much selfish acts and other such things going on that it's been nice to just have OUR time, and 4: Korben, Kyzer and myself got sick the week of his birthday and we didn't know how that would pan out. Well, Kyzer and I got better so we decided to go ahead and just do a simple BBQ. Poor little Korben didn't feel well, but he is always a little trooper. We just had Family over. We had a good time and Kyzer loved all his presents!
